Goats and Moon, 1625Ā1694
The Kano school of Japanese painting was maintained by a long line of the Kano family, beginning with the first accepted member, Kano Masanobu, in the late fifteenth century. Centuries later Kano Toun, who painted Goats and Moon, established the school's Surugadai branch, one of many offshoots that would form during more than three hundred years of painting for Japan's nobility. - INDIVIDUAL ITEM RRP Ā£1.992
