Attributed to Suzuki Kiitsu (Japanese, 1796Ā1858) Maple and Flowers, second quarter of 19th century Suzuki Kiitsu was the son of a textile dyer. He took up the family trade before apprenticing to samurai artist Sakai Hoitsu, leader of the nineteenth-century Rinpa school revival in Edo.
