A Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris)Āknown to produce pale, nearly white offspring outside of captivityĀlive an average of eight to ten years in the wild, growing to six feet in length, with the tail tacking on an additional two to three feet. White tigers, distinctively blue-eyed with pink noses, are the result of a rare, recessive gene and account for perhaps one in 10,000 births.
